NUNS on Tour
Cardiff (August 2009)
Rumour has it, it was as good as Liverpool 2008. OMG. WTF.
High points: Dinner lady fancy dress, Wriggles in a clown costume, Lou J and the police horse incident, properly feisty, full-on games of netball
Low points: Being so very broken from the properly feisty, full-on games of netball
NUNS on Tour - recent tours
Liverpool (August 2008)
It was an absolute classic. A big tour group. A lovely host team. Much mischief.
High points: The train journeys (brilliant brilliant brilliant), the accent (lovely, lovely, lovely), closing the show with an accapella version of “Don’t Stop Me Now”, Zoe being told she looked “the wiiiiiiiiiiirst”, Ash the Horse Whisperer, the Lou H and Gilly Mac dance off, Capital Ninja/NUNS shout outs from the DJ, Wriggles destroying Jigglemeister with her constantly jiggling
Low points: Finding ‘the blood’, Gin & Vimto
New Zealand (November 2007)
Bejesus. It was amazing. The netball. The mountains. The sauvignon blanc. Our credit cards will never recover nor probably our livers.
High points: The netball, the fishing for snapper and then BBQing them for our tea, seeing Lyndsey, Perdi and Levett, every lake, mountain, viewpoint on the South Island.... infact EVERYTHING on the South Island, being mistaken for the Malawi netball team by the official meet and greet at Auckland airport, the desperate search for a bar showing the Eng v Aus semi final and being welcomed like long lost friends in a bar in the scariest part of Auckland
Low points: Seeing England lose again to Jamaica, rain on the day of the glacier heli-hike., looking so very very very unattractive in our trekking gear.
Leeds (July 2007)
High points: Brilliant netball, hanging out with Global NUN Pippa, running amok in Oceana, being taught the best.pub.game.EVER.
Low points: losing little Kirsty in a really, really big nightclub
Bristol, 2006
Highpoints: red wine & coke cocktails, wigs - all of them, the arrival of the 7pm train crew
Low points: Saturday morning/afternoon hangover

Oxford, Autumn 2003
High Points: The return of the rubber glove, the accommodation
Low Points: Lou managing the kitty, the elusive search for a pub showing the S. Africa vs New Zealand rugby at 7am on a Saturday morning. The Sunday morning hangover.
Jamaica World Championships, Summer 2003
High Points; The villa, the rum, the netball, meeting Tracy Neville, barracking the Australian team at the hotel after they lost to New Zealand, feeling like a rock star at the Strawberry Hills spa
Low Points; Arriving back at Gatwick
Manchester Commonwealth Games, Summer 2002
High Points: 32 Capital NUNS strutting their stuff in matching tour tops and men leaving bars to come out onto the street to watch the parading minxes, the salsa dancing, having our own bus, the return of Brook, the Friday night survivor's curry, being mistaken for the England netball team
Low Points: 32 different opinions on which club we should end up in the Friday night. Watching England lose to Jamaica and, with the exception of Brook, seeing Australia beat New Zealand for the gold medal
Brighton, Summer 2001
High points: The Elvises, the rubber gloves, the boyz with attitude B&B owners
Low Point: The lost tour tshirt
Edinburgh, Summer 1999
High points: The level of drunkenness achieved by the advanced reconnaissance crew, the showercaps, the emergence of Britney Spears and tequila body shots
Low points: The Saturday hangover, the 6 hour return journey
